The Ember Knights can choose from multiple different weapons to aid them in their journey to defeat Praxis. As of patch v2.0 there are 9 weapons in the game, 7 in the base game and 2 in the 'Wrath of the Architect' DLC. On a new save file, players only start with the Ember Blade. Additional weapons can be unlocked by collecting Ember (does not need to be spent, only collected).

Razor Wind
Recyclingo.o.png

RWSS.png

Unlock Requirement: 2200 Ember

The Razor Wind is a mid range, precision based weapon. The Razor Wind has both a basic three attack combo and a long ranged charge attack that functions like a boomerang. The first two hits of the basic attack combo deal 60% of the player's base damage by default, and the third hit in the combo deals 75%. The charged attack deals 50% of the player's base damage on cast and on return. Similar to the Guardian Bow, if the charged attack is cast the moment it reaches maximum length, it deals bonus damage equivalent to 80% of the players base damage. Additionally, the charged attack has a 'tipper' that deals 67% base damage at the apex of its travel (167% if perfected); if the charged attack 'turns around' on top of an enemy, that enemy will take three hits in rapid succession. The benefits of the Razor Wind over other weapons are its increased Crit chance and its highly mobile playstyle. Its Weapon Modifications center on increasing the effectiveness of its basic attacks, charged attack, or charged attack tipper.

Notes

An Ember Knight can only use one Weapon at a time, and every weapon's Base Stats and Bonuses are decided by the specific Weapon Modifications. The Stats listed above are the stats of each Weapon as they are when first unlocked by the player.

The Base Damage value of a weapon does not directly translate into the actual damage that the weapon will deal with every hit, since each Chain Attack behaves differently and has differences associated with it.

Trivia/Tips

  • The Rift Hammer has the highest Base HP in the game at 60. This, combined with the Hammer's ability to make Applesauce which increases maximum health, makes it the obvious weapon of choice for those who like to have as much health as possible.
  • Razor Wind has more than double the Crit of most other weapons, giving it a distinct advantage with Claw Relics.
  • The Guardian Bow is by far the best weapon at rapidly striking enemies, allowing it to take great advantage of Relics like Toxic Bangle.
  • The Nexal Staff is the clear choice to players who enjoy casting, as it's Weapon Modifications and rapid Chain Attack lend well to heavy Skill use and making those Skills as powerful as possible.
  • The Reaper's Toll specializes in high damage, being capable of outpacing all other weapons on single targets due to it's massive chain attacks and the debuff applied by the Slash projectile. Make the most of it by increasing your base damage using Relics such as Titan's Wargear along with its ability to make apple slices which increase the players damage.
  • After using the Reaper's Toll's Slash attack, the player is given a 25% speed boost for 5 seconds. This is not listed anywhere in game and does not require Weapon Modifications to activate. This bonus and it's duration is completely unaffected by the number of Slash charges used.
